Light brown spotting at 5.5 weeks?

Question

Well, I knew it would happen eventually 😟 woke up today to some light brown discharge/spotting and promptly freaked TFO.

I've had light, intermittent cramping on the right side. Our first U/S was scheduled for Thursday, Dec 31 but I called my RE and he said to come in tomorrow and we'll do bloodwork and a scan a little early.

I just want to know if this is going to end in another m/c. I'm so worried I can't eat or do anything but lie in bed with a heating pad on my swollen, lumpy, painful hips (Thanks PIO shots)

I know plenty of women have various types of bleeding on and off all throughout pregnancy but I can't help thinking this is the beginning of the end for us. 😥

I had spotting on and off my whole first trimester, I freaked a lot. I'm 19 weeks now, keep the faith lady!

I bleed like a period for my entire first trimester with my son! This is my second pregnancy and I also had the brown sporting with this one. My RE and Ob GYN say I have a sensitive cervix. But the brown blood is usually indicative of old blood and there is definitely still hope!
