Vitex?

Question

Have you ever taken Vitex to help balance hormones (particularly progesterone and luteinizing hormone production)? I took it almost a year ago when my cycle was all out of whack, and it helped get my cycle back to normal. I'm doing research on it now for my sister and I'm getting lots of mixed opinions on it's effectiveness.
So, I want to know if you have used Vitex, (yes or no in the poll) and if yes, did it or did it not work for you?
If you know anything super cool about Vitex, feel free to comment and tell us all about it for those that don't know!

I took vitex and maca last February and April and March and we conceived in early May. I also lost some weight once I began taking it and my skin cleared up. I contributed it to hormones being back in balance. Made my periods lighter and more bearable. I may continue to take it after my baby is born in Feb.
