It's quite amazing to see these beautiful creatures grow up from day one, to see what they become. Horses are some of the most fascinating animals that I have ever seen and I am so grateful that I get to work with them everyday and help to build the bonds between human and horse.

I own two horses! Two quarter horses actually! Scotch on the money is her registered name! I call her scotch she is 21... 22 April 27th and I show her in barrels sill she is healthy so why not?? Lol she is like 14.2 and the most gorgeous bay ever! Lol and I also have 3... 4 in March quarter horse gelding! He is finished grown at 16.3 lol he's huge compared to my mare! I'm training him myself currently broke to do western and working on him being an all around horse including jumping!! And his registered name is a boy named clue and I call him Apollo and I learned how to ride on scotch! At 6 years old! And I bought Apollo when he was just 2 years old! And scotch was my 8th grade grad gift and I'm 18 now

I'm guessing you're out in America? If you are, surely it's nice out there! I'm in England and also ride English and I jump and show inhand, I have a 1year old called orchid (pronounced or-kid like the flower. Some people call her or-chid) she is 2 on the 4th of June and I've had her since she was 7 months. I'm just getting a new horse called grace, she is 11 and is an ex racer but when I tried her, you wouldn't have guessed it apart from her Being a thorough bred. Grace is black all over with a brown nose, she is 15.2hh. Orchid is a piebald and is predicted to grown to 15-16hh. Orchid is a Welsh crossed cob so I show her in hand traditional. I am hoping to go out to shows with grace and also to sponsored rides too! I am 14 and can't wait to break orchid in!

I've been blessed enough to have horses with me my entire life! When I was about two years old, one of my dad's friends got talking to him about show horses and halter showing and whatnot. The friend of my dad's ended up hooking him up with a trainer's contact info and my dad and the trainer have been training and showing horses together ever since. But my dad saw one flaw in this new horse business: the horses were being bred to grow fast and get really muscuaar and massive. To my dad, it seemed that the breeders of these horse didn't care about the heath problems that this way of breeding would cause the horses on the long run. Many of the horses die due to some form of organ failure or other disease caused by the way the were bred. So, my dad and our trainer decided to do something about it and began their own breeding program. They scoured  the country for some of the very best mares and studs they could find, and have bought many fine and acheived mares and studs from some of the finest bloddlines in the country. My Dad's breeding progam started out small, but has now grown into something very wonderful. He is breeding horses for good tempermants and flawless bodies. Our horses may not be the biggest ones out there, but at least they are happy and healthy.

From the moment they hit the ground, my dad and I are there, helping them find their mother's milk, drying them off, and doing whatever else it is that they mat need. Throughout the first six months or so of their lives, I focus on getting them halter broke, getting used to people touching them, used to being brushed, and help them learn that it's okay to trust people. Then, as they get older, my dad takes over teaching them how to ride and that it is okay to have somebody on their back.
