Is this normal?

My 4 1/2 month old isn't asleep. 
It's 4am... He's wide awake in his crib. 
He does this nearly every night. He stays up all night and sleeps all day. No idea how to get back on schedule without making him lose sleep during the day.

I hate to tell you this but you're going to have to keep him up for most of the day time. Not all day, he can still use a few hours nap, but he's got his days and nights mixed up. My LO takes about an hour nap in the morning and. Couple hour nap in the afternoon and goes to bed at 8. He gets up around 12 to eat then back to sleep until 7

My daughter did that for about a week then I wake her up at like 7 am and kept her up for about 2-3 hours let her sleep for an hour and a half then kept her awake til lunch let her sleep for 2 hours then woke her up and kept her awake til 7 at night . Worked like a charm , took about 2 days to get her to sleep at night but by the second night she was so tired .

May I ask at what time during the evening does he get put to sleep for the night?

Just keep him up all day take him to parks for walk play time to the stores he will stay awake .. And once night comes watch a movie with him settle down calmly he will get tired after a busy day. My 11 month has been on a schedule since she was 4 months up in the day asleep all night 😍😍😍 we sleep peaceful

My friend had this problem, you'll have to try and keep them awake a little more during the day so they can switch their schedule back and you'll keep your sanity. It'll suck for a day or two when you have a cranky tired baby but you'll be much happier once it's back to normal sleeping hours.
