Go on maternity leave?  I want to leave my job (Caregiver for elderly with Alzheimer's) this month. Im 26 weeks and due april 6th.

That's up to you, your significant other, and your job if you plan on returning to work afterward. I am not returning to work, so my husband and I decided I would leave work as soon as I got pregnant due to risk factors at my job. It was a hard decision, and not everyone agrees with us, but each parent must make the decision in the parameters of their situation.

I'm a security guard at a hospital and my company allows maternity to begin 11 weeks prior to expected due date, so I had my last shift on Christmas eve when I hit 29 weeks. My job involves a lot of continuous walking, as well as running to urgent calls and both those things were becoming quite difficult(running especially was just a no by my last shift lol). As well being hospital security we are expected to go hands on waaaayy more often than  any other form of security and with quite unpredictable people as it was usually psych patients.

I'm due April 23, and I'm allowed to go on leave two weeks before my due date. So I will be on maternity leave from April 9!

I worked till week 26. Then I focused on the rest of my semester.. I'm lucky that financially I didn't have to work, if so I'd still be working..

I'm due April 6th as well!! I am a nurse and will work until I give birth. But it is each persons preference. Some days I wish I could go on leave!
