My birth story
So my due date was 12/30/15 and my 40 week check up on that day still no change when the doctor check me my cervix was still very high and only one centimeter dilated she was unable to strip my membranes because my cervix was to high . I was scheduled to be induced on 12/31/15 at 8:30 am because I new the baby was getting big. So after my appointment I went about my day did my grocery shopping came home to do laundry prepared for the next morning since I have three other children I had to get all their stuff ready so they could go stay with my mother in law. I started to have contractions around 11 pm that night I thought they were just Braxton Hicks so I went back to bed by 12:45 am they got a lot stronger so I started timing them they would go from 5 , 8 ,12 mins apart so I just went with the flow waiting for them to get more consistent but they were getting so much stronger I new I was in labor but I did not want to wake up my husband until I new it was almost time so at 3:36am my water broke in bed it was like a water balloon popped between my legs so I leaned over and woke my husband up I told him my water just broke go get me a towel, after that it all happened so fast I called my mother in law her and my sister in law came they got there at 4:15am my sister-in-law stayed with the kids and my mother in law followed us to the hospital which was about 30 minutes away we got to the hospital about 5:00 am went to triage checked in I told them my labors happen very fast the nurse came in and checked me and I was 7cm I told them I had a lot of pressure with my contractions and I was planning on getting an epidural so they came in and took me up to my room I got to my room about 5:30 my nurse called the anesthesiologist and she placed my IV in as soon as she got my IV in I needed to start pushing she told me to stop pushing the doctor would be there in 5 minutes but there was no way my body was not pushing. I pushed for about 10 minutes it was the worst pain I have ever felt in my life I thought I was going to die lol and my baby was born at 5:58 am they put her on me and she wouldn't cry like we needed her to so they had to take her from me and put her on oxygen for like 20 mins she started to do better after that. We are so blessed
