I had almost the exact same thing happen to me with someone I was with we were friends for years and then dated for a year. He left town one weekend and cheated on me and when he got back he was dating a completely different girl not even the one he cheated on me with it was a girl he met right in front of me like three days before he left on that trip. And well honestly? It took me a long time to get over that he was my best friend and it took everything I had to not go back or even talk to him. It was extremely hard because the majority of my friends were also his friends and of course all the guys were like "oh I don't see why you're mad at him he didn't do anything wrong?". Which was ubsurd. It's been a little over a year and for me I just couldn't talk to him, I unfriended him from things on social media, and gave away everything he gave me. I'm not saying it's a 100% full proof way to get over someone but if you have things around you that remind you of when you were happy with them that's going to bring it all up again and make you miss them. You probably won't miss the person after what he's done to you but you'll miss the time you shared together. I would say if you haven't already to stop talking to him, don't check up on that new girl he's dating, and surround yourself with friends that are going to help you not concentrate on that too much. I wasted a lot of time being sad and upset for someone who obviously didn't care very much about me. It's been a little over a year since then and I'm doing very well. I would just focus on you because they aren't worth the time or the effort.

watch sad live movies . cry it out, get ice cream, have girl nights with friends, then if he's moved on. I think you should start looking for other people too babe. it's hard I know but you'll get through it!

Listen to music! Do your make up, do your hair and go out even if it's just for a walk just get out of your sad place either if it's your room, bed, living room, ect. Get out for a second and just breathe and tell your self it's going to be ok. Draw something. Paint. Write how you are feeling. It's ok to cry but don't spend the whole day crying. Make something even if it's something simple like bakeing a cookie. Talk to your friends, go watch funny videos! Go for a work out! All of this helped me. hope it helps you too 😊
