Anyone else?

I went to the emergency room last night due to bleeding and passing clots. The ultrasound showed that the baby was moving around a lot and had a strong heart beat of 164. They said it is a threatened miscarriage and to take it easy. Has anybody else had a threatened miscarriage and did you go to full term?

I started bleeding and passing clots at 8 weeks and was told threatened abortion (such an ugly diagnosis) I was told to stay on bed rest until it stopped, I was in bed for 5 days! But it did stop, I'm now 11.3 and they're both doing just fine, I read sometimes women bleed in early pregnancy around the time you normally would've had your period, if that's right, 8 weeks was my time and explains it for me, good luck! I hope everything turns out ok!

I have had the same problem. I bled at 8 weeks, 11 weeks and 14 weeks. ER found a small tear and told me the same thing, to rest as much as possible. I have an appointment tomorrow to check on the size of the tear to see if it's healing on its own.

We also diagnosed as "threatened miscarriage" at the ER. Doctor said that is just what is used. Just like a miscarriage early is called spontaneous abortion. They terms are just not that widely used cause they sound worse.

I was threatened mc at 6w and I am now almost 13. Healthy perfect baby. I Was told by my doctor that anytime there is bleeding they call it a threatened miscarriage. Don't worry and rest a lot.

Every single pregnancy I have 3 boys and will find out sec of this one this week . I have history of subcronic hemmorage . I have had multiple miscarriages but bleeding is the norm for me for pregnancies . Good luck

Had a threatened miscarriage at 6 weeks 4 days with bleeding and the ultrasound showed baby had a low heart rate. Two weeks later the babe was still hanging on with a super strong heartbeat of 174/ bow 10+5. I still take it a little easier than before pregnancy and am taking it day by day.

After bringing in the new year, taking a shower, I felt something come out. When I rinsed, looked like red blood. As I continue to rinse, waiting for it to stop, a clot fell out. Scariest moment ever. With me my son, I had none of this, so I already thought the worst. I tried to get some rest. When I woke up, had very light brown discharge, so we heading for ER. Ultrasound showed my little one with a great heartbeat. Doc gave me the same "threatened miscarriage" and ordered bed rest. Now I fear to do any activity that could cause further bleeding.

I am literally laying in the emergency room right now with the same thing. Started gushing blood with a blood clot so I had my hubby rush me to the hospital. Just finished an ultrasound and the baby was jumping around like crazy. Strong heartbeat of 167. ER doc didn't sound very hopeful and said we are in the waiting period. Thought we were 12 weeks 4 days, measuring 13 weeks.

I was told at 8 weeks with our second pregnacy I'd miscarry, and he lasted until 16 weeks before we lost him. We've since had 2 other successful pregnancies and are pregnant again: with my son and this pregnacy we were/are high risk due to history of preterm labor and low heart rate.

I had a threatened miscarriage with my last pregnancy at 6w and it ended in miscarriage at 8w.. Take it easy. I would spend more time in bed then out of it for a few days

Have they checked where your placenta is lying? 
I had 2 large bleeds and clots (23rd&24th) and they found my placenta is covering my cervix and that is the cause of bleeding... They wouldn't normally look so early, I'm 13w2d now. 
May be worth an ask..
