Thursday 12/31 I was let go from my job after 3 years, while 9 months pregnant as a young single mom.

I have been asking for decreased hours since early September. My bosses assured me they would accomodate my request and yet let me go 3 weeks before my due date of January 23rd.

Their reasoning was because of my poor attendence. I can agree my attendance was poor only because I was not coming in the 50 hour week I was scheduled, only 40. Keep in mind the commute to/from is about an hour long and this was after 5 months of being told my hours would soon decrease.

I can't help but feel somewhat bitter towards the situation. I handled the busy work of the office as 1 coworker had been hospitalized and another in rehab for addiction issues (for months.) The fact I "only" worked 40 hours should not be held against me after months of requesting an altered schedule.
