Depends on the situation. The old adage once a cheater always a cheater is not 100% true 100% of the time. Did he confess or did you find out another way? Has he made meaningful attempts to be completely open with you about where he is what he is doing who is talking with etc..?Another thing is time. How long does he keep up with these measures to reassure you and build back your trust? My SO cheated on me a year ago. He confessed the next night and made every effort to prove that's not who he was (later found out it was during a manic episode) and he has continued the whole year to build my trust back and prove to me that isn't who he is as a person. It just really all depends on the situation and the person. Sorry you are going through this.

It depends. I'd hope my husband would never step out in my marriage. One of his best qualities is being a shitty liar so I'm in good shape. we've been together though for 8 years. We have our third kid on the way. It would be difficult for me to stay, but also difficult to leave. It would depend on the circumstances and one time versus an affair.

On a side note, my ex was a cheater. We never married (thank goodness), but I tried to forgive. It didn't work. But I didn't have as much to lose back then. This is a better relationship and a deeper love and he's the father of my children. There would be separation and counseling and then, who knows!

Depends what cheating consisted of. Having sex with another woman, any sexual contact. No, leave hell do it again. Talking to another woman, maybe depends on circumstances. Pictures, Again depends on circumstances get to bottom of why it happened, who was the first to message txt, ask. Same goes for talking dirty to another person. There's a reason for everything. Remember women are better investigators than the FBI. Let him know that.
