Teen mom and daycare?

Kaitlyn
Please try not to judge me. I'm 16 & 36w3d pregnant. I'm looking to enroll my daughter in daycare so I can finish my schooling and graduate. Daycare was my last option because I have no close relatives that would be able to babysit her for me. I really want to finish school, so this is my only option it seems. Would I be able to enroll her considering I'm a minor myself? Thanks in advance.

When I had my daughter at 17 I went to s school that allowed me to bring her. I would call around and see if there is a school near you. You go girl for finishing school! I am 33 now and me and my dtr have the most amazing relationship! You can do this!

Yep! Shouldn't be a problem. You might even be able to get financial assistance for it since you're trying to finish school.

In Indiana at least we have an a this program, which is supposed to be like college prep but they have a teen mothers program which allows you to switch your schooling to half days and you can bring your baby.

I'm from Indiana but I've never heard of this. I've heard of half days but I've never heard of bringing the baby with me. I'll check it out. Thanks ☺️

There are schools that you can attend with daycares in them or maybe consider something online

You can put her in daycare the only requirement is that your her parent. I had my first child right after my 16th birthday and finished school no problem while working full time. It's definitely hard though so just keep your head up

Yes. In California we have high schools that have daycares on campus and there is a period a day that you spend with your baby and learn about child raising. It's great that you want to finish school. Check to see if there are any schools in the district you live in. My local school district buses both parents and the baby to a school with a daycare even if it's not the high school they were originally going to.
