UK moms - off work sick

Good morning,
I've been off work sick for the past month due to complications including high NT fluid and a CVS, severe pregnancy sickness and now cervix erosion.
Has anyone in the UK been off work for this long and not been dismissed? All my sickness is pregnancy related and covered by notes but I'm starting to worry now I won't have a job to eventually come back to once I start feeling better?
Any help, advice or experiences would be appreciated.

Thank you for your responses. I hate to complain about how tough this pregnancy is because he is a much wanted baby but I'm really struggling and feel guilty all over for it. I'm only 17 weeks so I'm not sure how early I can start my maternity leave but it's an option id consider if it meant I didn't have to worry so much. Docs keep telling me it'll get easier and everyone I speak to all have fine pregnancies so feel rather alone about it all. And selfishly jealous that my pregnancy isn't going so well

You can start maternity leave at 29 weeks :)

When i was 17 weeks pregnant i had 5 weeks off sick due to morning sickness, suspected DVT and passing out. They cannot discriminate against you because you are pregnant. So dont worry. Baby comes before work always!! X

I live in the UK and been off sick since 24 weeks, I'm not 30+3 and will be off sick until baby or born and my maternity kicks in, they can't dismiss or fire or even discipline you for you being off with a pregnancy related illness. Aslong as you have sick notes to cover you your fine don't worry

If you are still absent 4 weeks prior to your due date, they can automatically commence your maternity leave. So long as you have fit notes then you will be fine. X

I'm pretty sure your work wouldn't be allowed to dismiss you but it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't try and make you start your maternity leave early

I agree, they can't fire you. But they can make you start your maternity leave early.
