So I need some perspective on this. But please, don't be rude or insensitive about this.

So I'm pregnant and me and my bf didn't work out. He's currently not involved and I'm due in 26 days.

Now, my parents have been telling me not to put him on the birth certificate but I haven't asked their reasons why. I feel like they say that because they don't like him or trust him ( he's wasn't the nicest to me, but I'm not gonna go there), but it doesn't feel right to deny him of his rights since he hasn't done anything to this baby. But then again he isn't involved right now, so maybe it doesn't matter? I'm just so torn.

If I were to put him on there would he be notified?
