Tonsillectomy experience?

Hey! I'm gonna be getting my tonsils out on the 12th of this month and I was just curious about all your experiences! I hear it will be excruciating! I'm 17 and I'm scared I'm not gonna get knocked all the way out and I'll be able to feel it! Also, did anyone lose weight after their tonislectomy, how much? Thanks guys!

I don't want to scare you but for me it was horrible for about 3 weeks. The pain meds made me sick everyday even with food so when I threw up my  stitches came out and my throat hurt like a bitch. It was so nasty looking too. It's definitely worse the older you are and I was 19 at the time. Good luck though 🙃
