Found out he's going to propose!

This morning before his 3am shift my boyfriend tried measuring my ring finger with something but doing so woke me up and he totally freaked out. I also noticed last week one of my rings was missing but didn't think much of it. Apparently he doesn't know my ring size and has tried everything. How can I or my friend or something let him know I wear a size 5!! Poor guy is beyond stressed.
