I'm deaf. My boyfriend is hearing.

He is working on learning to sign with me, needless to say this is akward but getting easier... his parents think it's akward that we text each other to communicate. They talk where I can't see their mouths... will they ever become willing to sign? He told me his mother made fun of my laugh.

Edit: he did defend me to his mother.
