A child's digestive system is not fully able to digest food until they are atleast 6 months old. Anything before that can mess up their digestive system and cause problems later on in life. Acid reflux being one of those problems.

My dd is just turning 3 months and she's tiny finger dabs of things like mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, gravy, vanilla ice cream, a lick of her daddy's chip for the flavour. We see no harm in it especially since it's such a tiny amount she's probably not getting a whole lot of taste of it anyways. My stepdad a chef so the things he's let her taste have been fresh and pretty plain. He did the same with my sister and she's 7.

Those sound like the very unhealthy things to give your baby at all.. Let alone a baby with an underdeveloped digestive system ha.

Im a FTM due in April so i have no personal experience but i did read an article that stated that feeding your baby food too early, can cause food allergies

We didn't start rice cereal until 4 months. He won't be 6 months until he gets food and it certainly won't be things like ice cream. Babies don't need to eat all that sugar.

No. I'm very glad I waited because he has allergies to multiple foods. Including but not limited to icecream (Cow milk).

My mom started giving my baby girl at 2 months old baby food and cereal. My baby loved it. At 3 or 4  months  started soft foods. My mom fed us all the same and we were fine. Lol but I don't think ketchup is ok? Nothing with sugar. Just Be careful

Breast fed only until 8 months. Than baby food. No real food til after 1
