First time anal

So me and SO tried anal for the first time on both of our parts . Neither of us had any idea what we were doing . Tons of research we went to Walgreens and bought a toy to keep stimulation to keep me turned on , astroglade lube ( worst mistake EVER ), and condoms to ease his mind about the yuckiness lol . So we start with TONS of four play . I've never been more turned on . Then we go into it doggy style . After 10 minutes of awkward moments, tons of communication, and the whole bottle of lube later we managed it . But once he was in he couldn't move lmao . Word of advice ..: Astro is the worlds WORST lube ... It becomes VERY tacky like half dried glue . Any ideas to make the next time better or even just better lube to try ? I mean it wasn't as bad as I thought it would've been with the scare of pain but I'd like to try and fully enjoy it next time
