So my husband cleaned a spot in our carpet with a product that has bleach in it!!!!!!!!!!! I am honestly so mad about it, I could just cry. I'm an emotional person anyways so this really just took me over. I was trying not to be too mean but that's ridiculous, if you're going to clean carpet MAKE SURE the cleaner doesn't contain bleach!! Common sense to me. Now there's a huge ORANGE spot in our nice tan basement carpet. We just bought the house over the summer so I'm not trying to replace this perfectly good carpet already!! I've been reading some home remedies for removing bleach; hot water & vinegar, and the melted crayon method. he wants to get a rug. But honestly I just want the spot gone. It's gonna drive me crazy if we throw a rug over it because I will constantly be thinking about the ugly spot that I know is underneath. Even if it just gets faded I will be happier than I am right now. Have any of you ever faded/got bleached spots out of carpet??

As a guy give him a break lol i do plenty of things like that and my wife has learned to have patience with me as have I with her when it comes to some things she isnt so good at..

Lmao sounds like some shit my boyfriend would do. Just get a rug, it'll be fine. I don't ever really get mad when my boyfriend ruins shit when he's trying to be helpful. Cuz I ruin things a lot as well, sometimes people make mistakes. Cut him a little slack he did his best.

Well a rug might be your only option!  I mean once something is bleached you can't really get the color back.  You would have to cut a square out and go match the same color of carpet and get adhesive strips and replace it that way!  Our whole dining are are carpet times it's so nice because it they get ruined we just replace it 👍🏼

People make mistakes it's only a carpet! If that's the biggest problem you have then you're in good shape. Let him slide it's not worth it to sweat the small stuff

Lol!!! Mine did the same. Luckily I just bought the carpet from Ikea so I just went and exchanged it. I was honest about it, and they still took it back.

At least he tried. Mistakes happen, and I doubt there is no one alive that hasn't made a mistake. Maybe give him a lesson on cleaning supplies, etc. Shit happens...

My husband just ruins pots and pans 😑. Brand new, non stick pans that I have repeatedly told him to not go near with anything metal. What's he do? Cut meat up IN THE PAN WITH A STEAK KNIFE. Or scrape the bottom of a pot with a metal spoon. And while I greatly appreciate any time he cooks, he thinks everything has to be cooked on the highest 2 settings which leads to a) burning the pans up and b) tons of smoke throughout the entire house.

I know how you feel my fiancé is ALWAYS making stupid mistakes like that. I have to calm down before I talk to him because I realized that I am really hurting his feelings with the things I say to him. I tell myself that if this is the biggest problem we have then I should be happy lol sometimes he does make me want to pull my hair out 😂😂😂😂
