I honestly think your body can detect the extra testosterone or extra estrogen. 78% of women who guess the gender of their baby, guess correctly. I think your body just knows which hormones your baby is giving you.
That said, I don't think girls give you more morning sickness or boys make you carry lower or whatever.

With my first 2 boys it was like a walk in the park.. I only gained maybe 20 pounds with each of them & wasn't sick at all. With my third boy I gained immediately & when I had him weighed prolly 50 lbs more & was sick all the time. Now I'm pregnant with a girl & I was pretty sick between weeks 6-8 & haven't gained as much as I did with my 3rd boy. So I'm guessing just every pregnancy is different. I thought 4sure my last boy was a girl cuz everything was so different from my first 2 boys!

My first pregnancy was with my boy and now I'm pregnant with a girl & I feel that these pregnancies are COMPLETELY different. With my son I had no nausea no symptoms whatsoever it was the easiest pregnancy ever. With my girl now I had nausea the whole first trimester and pelvic pain still and gestational diabetes.
