Cloth vs Disposable Diapers?

Question

Hey! I'm thinking about switching from disposable to cloth diapers. Any experienced cloth diaperers out there that can't tell me the ins and outs? Would you recommend the switch?? How many do i really need? I see people with massive collections of them.

It's really easy to start and do. I recommend a diaper sprayer that you attach to your toilet to help with the poo. I had two babies in cloth diapers at once, I had no more then 30 cloth diapers. I really like g-diapers, you can buy flats to fold and use in them and buy the disposable inserts for when you are out and about. I wish I had them when I started. But other then that I love cloth diapers but won't be starting them till after the frist month, since it's easier when you have a routine to be able to wash them every 2 days. I have two older children 5 and soon to be 4 when the babies born they will be at home and not at school, so I will be super busy. Doing it on my own since my husband won't help. Everyone I know that did cloth had a diaper service come and clean them. That's the only suggestion they gave me but there are a lot of varieties where you don't even need to use pins anymore

We had to use cloth with my son. He was allergic to regular diapers. I was nervous about it at first, but we loved it. We are doing it for our 3rd. (1st one we used disposable). I used Kawaii with my son. They fit from 6 months to potty training. He is only wearing one at night just in case right now. We will be using Kawaii again but using Fuzzy Bunz at the newborn stage. They have sized diapers instead of the one size fits all. I recommend checking where the diapers are manufactured. Some of the cheaper ones are made in China, which I wasn't comfortable with. Just do lots of research, you have some time ;) Go with what will work best for your families needs.

They have really cute cloth ones at target and all over the Internet. They are like a diaper cover with cloth inserts that you change instead of the whole diaper being cloth. That is what I am planning on using for my first baby (:

We currently use cloth with our son and love it. We use buttons diapers, they are an all in 2 diaper that you can snap in the insert that way you can reuse the cover of it is not soiled. I have 20 covers and 18 large and small inserts, that will be pleanty to get me through cloth diapering two. I would recommend getting a few different brands to see what works for you and what system you like best, whatever you don't like you can usually resell.

We loved cloth diapers.I CD my first 4 kids but will be using disposable this time.I already have to much laundry and.laundry room is in basement so I won't feel like going up and down stairs to do them
