Uncircumsized boy? (No hate!)

Question

I just found out I am pregnant with a boy and am keeping him infact. Please no argument about this, it is something me and his father have a agreed on and I am not changing it. However, im a FTM and don't know how to clean a uncircumsized penis and neither does my SO (who is circumsized) can someone explain to me how to clean an intact baby boy?? Please only answers from people with experience. Thank you!! 😊

Do NOT try and retract the foreskin at all. You will simply clean it like you would a finger. Once your boy gets older that skin will retract gradually on its own. If you force it back that is what typically leads to problems. As long as you just keep it clean like you would any other part of the body you'll be all set! It doesn't require any crazy techniques. :)

The nurses should inform you how to clean him and what not when he's born. My son isn't circumcised and all we were told was don't pull the skin back, make sure to wipe the areas clean and just watch out for any infection. My sons 2.5 and hasn't had a problem.

Just some advice.... When my son was born i didn't have him circumsized.... being a single mom, i obviously was battling to clean it properly and he ended up having a few infections over the past few years and because i wasn't pulling the foreskin back far enough, it ended up growing skew  (hard to explain)..... my son turned 13 this year and we (my new DH & I) decided to have him circumsized. My husband was circumsized at the age of 25 for his own personal reasons.... anyway my son was in pain and uncomfortable for the first day after the operation but since has been perfectly fine. He has thanked me for having this done and i am very releaved! If i end up having a boy again this time, i will have him circumsized immediately ☺

I read an artical on Pinterest about a family that doesn't get their boys circumcised and they know a bunch of tips. Hope this helps

I'm in England and its common here not to circumcise. As a mum of an almost 2 year old and auntie to 5 boys all you do is wipe it thoroughly clean all around the area and same when you bath them. No special techniques or infections ☺
