Help!! STI?!?

So I have been having unprotected sex for awhile with my boyfriend of 3 years. He is the only person I have ever had sex with but he has had sex with someone else before. I have never had a problem in 3 years with STI's or anything but my period just ended and when i pulled out my tampon there was a yellowish sticky discharge at the end or my tampon and it smelt really bad. Could it just be because i just ended my period or could it be an STI?

It could be BV, which is just an infection women from PH level imbalance, like a yeast infection. If it smelled fishy, that's probably what it is, and it can be treated with just antibiotics.

In addition to that, I definitely recommend getting yourself tested for STD/STI's, as well as forcing your boyfriend to get tested. And I would suggest using only condoms until he gets tested. For future reference, you should not have unprotected sex with a partner unless you have proof that they have been tested for every STD/STI. That is how people contract herpes, HIV, etc.. By not taking these precautions.

Sweetie, go get tested and start using condoms with your boyfriend if you plan on staying with him after the test results. I dated a guy for 2 years never thought he would cheat on me, but he did, and he brought back chlamydia to me. I had no idea I had it, I thought maybe it was a yeast infection, until I got tested and found out. To this day he still won't admit what he did, but he's the only person I've had unprotected sex with. Luckily it wasn't anything some antibiotics couldn't fix, but again I would've never known if it weren't for me getting tested. You can trust a guy all you want, but you NEVER know what he's doing when you're not around. Make him use a condom no matter how much he doesn't like it and if that's a deal breaker then he didn't have much respect for you to begin with.
