I didn't know where to post this but I just really need to vent. My parents gave us a bassinet for our daughter that was in their basement (it was used for both me and my sisters). I was leery about it because they have had problems with bedbugs as well as my grandparents who they have constant contact with. But they have said they are rid of them and my mom washed the bassinet with clorox and laundered the fabric part so I said ok. I didn't have a chance to check it because my daughter was in the hospital when we delivered it because she was super early. Well I went to get her to feed her just a little bit ago and I saw a bedbug on the bassinet. It was really small and flat so I could tell it hasn't eaten in a while (it's been almost 3 weeks since we got the bassinet). I'm so upset. It would be one thing if it wasn't in her bassinet but I feel hurt and guilty that it could have bitten her. I had my husband check our bed and the rest of the bassinet and he didn't find anymore so I'm pretty sure that it came from my parents house. I just don't know what to do. I don't feel comfortable putting her back in there so I'm staying up and letting her sleep on me. I know I can't do this all night because I have barely had sleep and I'm so scared of falling asleep with her on me. I would feel so much more comfortable if I could do laundry but our laundry is coin operated and I'm out of coins and the bank won't be open for at least 4 more hours. I have a phobia of bugs in general so I can't stop crying. I'm sorry. I just really needed to vent and my husband is back asleep.
