How do you know when baby drops and when do they usually

I knew, but not because I could breath. But because walking was incredibly painful.

I woke up one morning and babies knees were normally by my ribs and they were half way down my stomach area.  Also it feels like his head is on my pelvis.

I could breath again and a ton more pressure on my pelvic 
Walking, sitting, standing etc became a lot more uncomfortable

I knew because I could suddenly breath again. I can't recall when he dropped but it was the last few weeks.
