Ultrasound question?

I am 6w1d, Tuesday I will be 6w5d. I have my very first ultrasound that day. I've heard from a lot of people that 9 times out of 10 they'll do an ultrasound vaginally your first time. So... Question.

1. Does it hurt?

2. Do they allow anyone in the room with you while doing this like your SO?

Most places will allow you to have 1 person with you. It doesn't hurt, you may have some uncomfortable pressure though from the camera. If it does hurt don't be afraid to let them know it's getting uncomfortable, not promising there's anything they can do to help it be more comfortable though.

No it doesn't hurt at all. I had my 3rd one today and it's perfectly fine. Yes the do allow someone in as they invited my partner to come with me, which he did. I think they would allow whoever you want in with you. You are covered below so your dignity it maintained. It's really nothing to worry about.

It is uncomfortable for me but not very painful. I usually cramp a bit afterward. They allowed my husband, son, and mom in for our last one. I know they'll let them all in again this time too

It doesn't hurt. It only hurt me when I was cramping because it made the cramping worse. It was skinnier than penises it's just a stick kinda. You'll be fine.

I had one with my daughter for my first ultrasound and Im sure I will with this baby as well. It was uncomfortable but the worst part was the heartburn I got from laying back on the table lol they let my husband be in there too.
