Getting your tubes tied

What do you all think about having tubes tied? I'm double minded if I should or shouldn't. I already have a five (will be six in a few months) year old son, and a five month daughter we are blessed with a wonderful family. My husband and I know we don't want any more children we are happy with the two we have but I'm scared with the whole surgery aspect of it Google didn't help either because I ended up looking up pictures and got even more scared with how many needles go in you. So if you have had it done how did it make you feel before and after?
