"Don't keep your buggy at your house until the baby comes"

Lulu

I'm 24 weeks with twins and I bought my pram online last night. My two best friends told me immediately not to keep it at my house and I should leave it at my mum's house. Something to do with bad luck.

They said it's superstitious but I think it's a load of bull. After a miscarriage and my OH losing a child at birth we know things can happen regardless of superstition.

What are your thoughts?

There is no such thing as "jinxing" yourself or giving yourself bad luck. Nothing you are going to do is going to hurt that baby (in the realm of bringing a pram home or something similar).

What's supposedly supposed to happen if you keep it in your house? Never heard of such a thing.

I think it's a load of bull, I live on the 7th floor so soon as the pram was delivered there was no way I was moving something that weighed 27kg at 28weeks pregnant. It was kept in our oldest room. This time as we're ordering from EBay the address for that is my mother in law's so it'll go in her spare room

Well that sounds ridiculous, I had my buggy delivered when I was 6 months, nothing happened.

Superstitions are just that. I've broken a mirror and haven't had 7 yrs bad luck. I don't always look people in the eyes when I toast, haven't had bad sex yet. I never send out chain letters when I receive them, I've split many poles, I've walked under ladders, && nothing has ever happened. And there have been tons of males to see their brides before the wedding and the marriages still ended up great.  It's all about what you allow to manifest. Things happen or don't happen regardless of superstitious laws.

I didn't do any of these superstitions with my previous pregnancies and I still had a miscarriage and an ectopic! They are silly and not worth worrying over!! People say you shouldn't cut your hair when pregnant as it "cuts the health of the baby", bull! I've already had two haircuts this pregnancy and all seems to be well with baba!!
