Contractions woke me up at 8am, I stayed home and labored on my own all day until they got to the 5 min or less and consistent for 2 hours. By the time we got to the hospital around 7pm and they were literally back to back and extremely intense. After all day and all of that, I had only dilated to a 2. Just not built to dilate I guess, I only dilated to a 4 with my first. Had to wait in triage for 2 hours literally screaming in pain with back to back contractions, no pain meds whatsoever to see if I'd start dilating. That didn't happen, so I got a spinal and they took him via c-section. It's not what I wanted for his birth but I tried my hardest and what matters is that he's here now and extremely healthy.
