No signs before labor started?

Ok mamas, so I'm 38+5 days and I'm wondering how labor started for you? I haven't had any Braxton hicks my entire pregnancy. I am 50 percent effaced and 1-1 1/2 cm dilated. Im pretty sure I haven't lost my mucus plug (I know you don't Necessarily have lose that) did anyone else not have any signs before going into labor? I've tried walking, sex, spicy foods.

38 +5 is considered "term" and is totally safe...

My water broke at 38 +5, with no sign of labour, I was induced later that day. He was born 12 hours later weighing 7'9

Well with my son i was at work i was 38 weeks 5 days i went to the bathroom went back to my clients nursing home room and started getting what i thought were braxton hicks, very irregular spaces several
Minutes apart. About 10 minutes later while i was reading to my client (sitting down) i thought i peed my pants when i realized "i JUST went to the bathroom". And i couldnt stop the flow.  I stood up and everything came gushing out...i was in labor...it wasnt braxton hicks it was real (i never had ANY contractions real or false before that moment). 16 hours of labor later and only 7 minutes of pushing and he was here

I was 38 +5 0% and 0 effaced and one random night, ta da labor. She was born 18 hours later.

I was a 1 and 50% for three weeks. I did lose my mucus plug the week before I had him but nothing else. No BH or real contractions or anything. That morning my water broke at 11:30 and I had him at 3:52 pm that day :) I was 39 weeks and 4 days.

You are 38+5. It just isn't time yet. Give baby the full 42 or more if needed. The only thing that will successfully trigger labor is baby signaling to your body that he/she is READY! Your body is so great at protecting baby & keeping them in until they are fully developed that even medical intervention & induction won't be successful if it isn't time.
