How far into pregnancy can spotting occur?

I'm nearly 13 weeks and i saw a small amount of light brown dc when I wiped just now but all I can find is that it's normal from 0-12 weeks. 
I'm thinking Im just stressed today either emotionally or physically. Is that possible? I've been getting intermittent cramping since I got pregnant but not had spotting before today.

It could be discharge from your growing placenta! You can spot/have discharge during you're entire pregnancy. Unless it's bright red or you're having severe cramping, I doubt it's anything to worry about but if it's bothering you, give your doctor a call! Hope everything is ok!

Call your dr and/or go to ER. If you haven't had any previous bleeding, it's not normal.

I actually just had the same thing. I'm 12&5 today. I called the doctors office and spoke to the medical assistant. She said it could be a number of things, infection, old blood, she even suggested implantation bleeding. (Which I thought happens way earlier in pregnancy??? ) anywho.. She said not to worry unless it turns pink or red. I say call the doc so they can look at your file and advise that way.

If you had sex within the last couple days that could be a cause for the spotting.

Spotting can happen up til you give birth. Im 15w and still spot.
