Thoughts on Menstrual cups?

I have been using one for a few months now and I don't see that big of a problem with it but everyone I have spoken too tells me they're disgusting or super bad for you... Thoughts?

I love them, that's all I use. I haven't had any problems other than I have to change it more often when I'm heavy.

I just used for the first time this cycle which ended today and honestly, I love them! They weren't as messy as some women say buy hey we all have a different flow! I couldn't ever imagine going back to a tampon ever again! I'm really liking them!

There's absolutely no reason they're bad for you. They're actually way more better for your Heath as hey don't contain any of the nasty chemicals or bleach that tampons and pads have in them. There's no risk of TSS. It's just people being insecure and uncomfortable about being in tune with your body. And the whole stigma that periods are dirty and gross. Whereas the blood is the same that comes out your finger when you cut yourself. It just has a little tissue in.  I use a mooncup and absolutely love it! I couldn't go back to disposable products now!

What reason are they giving for being bad for you?

I love my Diva cup. Wish I had known about them years ago. There's nothing else on the market that you can use for your period and not KNOW you're on your period. Pads make me feel like I'm wearing a diaper. I can even feel tampons. Plus you've got that string hanging out of you. It gets pee on it every time you go to the bathroom....annoying.

To each her own, so if your cup is working for you, stick with it.

I've been using one for almost a year now. They are awesome. All of the FDA approved cups are made of medical grade silicone. So they are completely fine to use. They are way better for you than tampons or pads. I personally will never ever go back to disposables. I could go on all day about reusable menstrual products.
