Is this normal???

Im between 5 and 6 weeks along. I went in and got my first sono yesterday, but they couldnt see the baby. All they saw was the amniotic sack and the yolk sack. Has this happened to any of you? Should i be worried??

That's usually why they wait to give an US until 8 to 9 weeks.

Same happened here. During my 1st appointment when I was between 5th & 6th week  doctor couldn't see the sac clearly but we could get the heartbeat at next appointment which was end of 7th week I think.

At my 5 week 5 day transvaginal ultrasound all we could see was gestational and yolk sac. Abdominal ultrasound at 9 weeks showed baby and heartbeat.

Totally normal. That's all they saw at my first appointment. Two weeks later we saw the heartbeat! Don't stress too much.

Is this normal???
