Gestational diabetes?

Does anyone under thirty, not over weight, first child, eats healthy & diagnosed with gestational diabetes & totally confused!?

I've been checking my blood & all my levels are normal... I'm starting to wonder if my doctors goofed up here...

I'd ask to be retested. No point in constantly sticking yourself if you don't actually have GD

My friend was all of those things and had GD with her second baby but not her first....

It's an issue of the functionality of your pancreas during pregnancy. I'm all those things and I have it. My mom never had it. Pregnancy hormones have slowed down my pancreas' ability to process insulin. So none of those factors really matter.

I was diagnosed and was all of the above. I have a strong family history of diabetes on my dads side. Sucked getting the Dx at first, felt like i failed, but each day I learn more about my body and i really do feel better now that i am controlling my sugars. :)
