Helpful or not. I had a long epidural birth with my first and would really like a pain med free natural birth this time

Currently waiting to go into labor but I have a doula and already have really enjoyed working with her. We are using deep relaxation/self-hypnosis and its already been very beneficial when I have pre labor :)

Research the statistics of the difference a doula makes, it's really incredible. You should definitely go for it, they're a godsend

I just had my second kid with a doula. My first was 41 hours with an epidural and complications from it. This one was 17 hours with similar back labor, pushing issues, etc but the addition of a doula this time made such a huge difference. I didn't get an epidural and had her naturally. Doula provided needed physical and emotional support for sure.

I love my doula. Ill be using her again this time. I only had a gas and air and a tens for my last birth. Maybe you could interview a few to discuss your expectations?  X
