Jealousy issues

So my boyfriend started work a few weeks ago, he works out the pack unpacking things so there's one 1 or 2 girls. One of the girls I have known since primary school and had never been very nice to me. I explained this to him and asked if he didn't get close to her. But a few weeks later, he starts talking about her and saying that she is his friend and I'm going to have to get over that. He mentioned her name twice in under an hour. I got a bit upset about this because I explained to him when he started that I don't particularly like her and would prefer him to try to keep his distance, but now he's all annoyed at me for getting upset over this. Do I have a reason to be upset? I know he'd hate it if it was the other way around
