Pros and cons of circumcising??

Just curious to see what everyone thinks I been doing some research havent made a decision 😶 Thank you!!!

I'm also from the UK and it isn't done as much as it is in the US it's mainly done for religious beliefs or health reasons, it isn't just done to every man and child. To me I don't see the point in it, I personally wouldn't put my newborn child through surgery and the healing process that young, If it was something that was done like it is in the US I'd wait till my child got older and gave him the option, I don't think it's fair the pain/healing/being sore/surgery on a baby so young when it isn't a life or death situation

Having the child circumcised after theinitial newborn stage is more complicated and would require anesthesia. Less risk of UTI's and its easier to keep a circumcised penis clean. But to each it's own.

I'm from the UK and it's just not done here unless it is a religious requirement for you. I don't get why it's such a big deal to be honest, I don't know a single man that has been circumcised.

My husband didn't get circumcised until he was 21. He had it done because the fore skin was causing tons of problems for him . The surgery was super painful for him. Way easier just to get it done when boys are born instead of waiting. My hubby was angry for years that his parents never had it done when he was a baby

I don't know a single man that hasn't been circumcised.  Maybe I haven't gotten out there enough but I've only seen one man that wasn't in a video and I had no idea what I was looking at for a moment lol.

I just don't get why you would put a baby through so much pain if it's not causing him any discomfort. It's like getting a baby girls ears pierced. I would not do that either just so they forget about the pain. It's there choice to make when they are older. Every one has different opinions but mine is that I think it's cruel so am not for it.

My 1st born i didnt get him circumcised because his dad wasnt and i learned to clean it and my son still ended up with an infection which pissed me off i had to hav my son have surgery at 6 months to have the fore skin removed...and i had my next to boys done at birth...babies and younger kids heal quicker. I would rather have it done at birth than wait til they are old enough to decide ifs more expensive and barbaric

Well, here's a different perspective for you... (This is embarrassing, buuttt).... As a woman, I have more skin than what I would think is average down there, like my inner lips are more prominent. Although it's said to be common in women with "extended labia" I don't have infections or anything like that, BUT, I'm neurotically clean about it. It's a mental thing. I clean it 3 times every time I take a shower because I'm so paranoid about it having a funk smell. This has caused a lot of anxiety in the bedroom. My husband swears there's nothing & I know its all in my head but the anxiety of it not looking/smelling/feeling "right" makes sex much less enjoyable for me. If I had the $$, I would surgically shorten them in a heartbeat!

All that said, i will absolutely be circumcising my boy because I wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy. I don't want him to deal with that mental stress.
