What do i do?

My boyfriend and I have been TTC for months so we had our first visit to CNY Fertility on Friday. I have to go on medication to bring on AF. Then I have to go back and do all my testing. So I will have to take time off of work because I live about an hour away from CNY Fertility. The problem is I drive truck for a living and its a crazy busy schedule. My boyfriend and I have decided that when we do get pregnant that I'm not going to work even after the baby is born. How do I explain this to my boss who is a male and doesn't understand women problems. We have decided that we won't say anything to him about me not coming back to work. But do I just tell him the truth or just skim thru it?
