Pain while pumping

I'm 4 weeks pp. I've been exclusively pumping since baby won't latch (even though I still occasionally try). Anyway, are my nipples still supposed to hurt like they did day 1? They're so sore, can't touch them, water can barely run over them in the shower. I thought it was supposed to get easier! I'm pumping 5-6 times a day. It's causing such bad anxiety to just turn on the pump! Please help!
