When to buy maternity clothes?

When did you start to buy maternity clothes? I don't know when to buy them. But my pants hurt where they lay.

I used a hair tie on my pants and the belly band. I didn't want to buy a lot of preggo clothes. I ended up wearing a lot of yoga pants and long tank tops. That way I could still use them after the baby.

I bought a belly band once my pants started getting tight around 13-15 weeks. I am now 28 weeks and my pre pregnancy pants are finally getting to small so I'm now officially wearing only maternity clothes.

I had a few things from before when I had a miscarriage but I bought some at the beginning of the month. I started wearing them at 5 weeks. I have only gained 3 lbs but my pants were a no go.

I was very bloated early on. I started wearing leggings at around 8 weeks because I couldn't wear my jeans any more. I put my pair of maternity jeans on about at about 12 weeks but I don't really wear anything besides leggings but I do wear alot of my maternity shirts.

I bought my first pair of maternity jeans when I was 16 weeks pregnant. I wasn't necessarily shaping just yet but any other jeans hurt my belly and just didn't fit.

I already had stuff from when I was pregnant with my daughter. But I was having the same problem as you this time around. My pants were laying right on my bladder, they fit still but was super uncomfortable so I started wearing prego jeans which helps my only problem is they are still a little big on my waist so I have to pull them up frequently. I'm 19 weeks now & have been wearing them for probably 5 weeks. I've added a few things long the way though.
