Ok so yesterday I went in for my normal checkup with the OB and they told me the test they ran for GBS came back positive. I'm 37 weeks and 3 days and kinda freaked out now. Has anyone else tested positive for GBS? I looked up and read all about it and how harmful it can be to the baby. I also am concerned because I have been complaining of all kinds of symptoms like shortness of breath, nausea, pains all over my body mostly my legs (especially at night), pain in my head, and rapid heart beat. Which are a lot of the signs that the GBS has infected the bloodstream/bones/heart, and I thought these were all normal pregnancy symptoms. They won't treat me with antibiotics until labor, I'm just afraid what if they don't work and it spreads to my baby? Anyone have any thoughts on this or know anything about GBS please comment.
