Well it has been an insane 48 hours! Got to the hospital Wednesday night around 5pm and found out Ava was no longer breeched. Plans changed and we were gonna try a natural birth. Doctor gave me this little sheet to help soften my cervix to try and start the process. Was taken at 7:45pm. At 3am after LOTS of contractions, my water broke! I dilated from 0-5 in two and a half minutes. However, the doctors lost Ava's heartbeat. Once they found it, it had dropped DANGEROUSLY low! I was taken off all machines and rushed to the operating room to do an emergency C-Section! Didn't even have time for an epidural and I was put under! Unfortunately due to the severity, Husband was not able to be in the room. Ava was born at 3:22am weighing in at 6lbs and 13.3oz. She was 20 inches long! All organs working fine and she has ten fingers and ten toes! Bilirubin levels were a bit high so doing another blood test tomorrow! And my iron levels are a bit low! But Baby, Mommy, and Daddy are all doing great! Plan is to head home Sunday.
