I don't like vampire books and I liked the hunger games and divergent books but I don't like similar ones they are too copy catish! Other than that all suggestions welcome!

YA, Fantastic book and it really sucks you in.

It's a shame you don't like vampires because the Vampire Academy series is one of the best series I've ever read. I'd give it a shot. It's got a few different types of vampires and lots of action.

• any and every John Green book, I don't care how cliché that is. (Abundance of Katherine's was a little boring though)

You mentioned YA books, so I'm assuming that's the kind you are looking for. 
-Maze Runner trilogy. I've only read the first 2, but they're great. And the movie with Dylan O'Brien is great 😍 not the second movie though....
-Elsewhere. Girl is dead, relives her life through objects she finds in this ~place~ she's in. Trying to figure out how she died and such. It's a book that I've gone back to and Reread countless time. 
-Perfect Chemisty. This actually might not even be a good book lmao, but it's also one that I've reread many times cause I like it. It's a good old 'good girl, bad boy, don't get a long but are attracted to eachother, what will happen next??' story. 
-This Lullaby. Sarah Dessen, the author, is like Nicholas Sparks in that all of her stories are similar and it's not hard to guess the ending. But this is one that I actually like and remember the plot of! It's a little bit more unique than her other books. It's cute.

False Memory by Dean Koontz

It's not scary by any means as you're reading it, but it did mess with your head a bit. I liked it but wasn't super impressed until I realized I was having some pretty fucked up dreams for weeks following that were clearly because of the book.

The manipulation of my mind without recognizing it, to me, THAT made it a damn good book.

I also like The Vampire journals series, I know you said no vampire books but it's not really suck your blood twilight vampire, it's more highschool kids trying to save the world.
Dark Visions is about teenagers with powers. I've only read a couple pages to see if it pulls me in or not.
You could take a look at the cousins war books. It's about the Tudors and before king Henry 8th.

Gone series by Michael Grant. FANTASTIC. It's sci fi and I couldn't stop reading them. I think they tried for some low budget film in 2011, never took off. If the right person got this series into movie production, I bet money it would out do the hunger games. The books themselves are a great read, my favorite by a long shot.
