Okay so me and my boyfriend are almost two years in. We've been long distance for our entire relationship but its only a two hour drive so not that bad. We've also have never been that couple that are just dating. It's always so much more. There's been a lot of hardships but we've never given up. And tbh, I really see a future together. I don't date just to mess around, I'm really serious when I date. But recently we've been getting super serious and promise rings came up. He's 19 and I'm turning 19 in a couple of weeks. Both freshman in college. I think the ideas cute. And he loves it too. But I was talking to my dad and he said if you guys are that committed, why do you need rings to prove it? So it got me thinking... Are promise rings stupid? We don't want to get engaged just yet.. We both are going to finish college before we get married. But also are promise rings that big of a deal? Everyone says it is. And I can see why. Can you just tell me your opinion?
