My husband and I can't agree on going with a proper name that we'll never call our baby just for the sake of a proper name or just naming our son the nick name we would have him go by. We both have proper names that we never go by so I feel like it's a waste. Both our kids have names that we call them by but my husband thinks kids should of the option to go by either the nick name or the proper name. I love the name Nate but not a big fan of Nathan so I would just name him Nate but my husband doesn't think we can name him just Nate. Thoughts?!
