Green tea...ok or not?

Question

I'm reading conflicting information everywhere. ..is a cup of green tea a day safe during early pregnancy or not?
(I don't go for my first dr visit for another few weeks)

I drank green tea through my first 2 pregnancies and my babies are healthy with no neural tube issues.  However, I just read about it interfering with folic acid absorption, so I still drink it..,but sparingly.  I will ask my OB at my first visit due to conflicting info online.

You are not supposed to drink green tea because the antioxidants in the tea don't allow your body to absorb folate.
