Fetal echocardiogram?

Question

I have type 2 diabetes, and have to have a fetal echocardiogram soon, I guess it's common practice when your diabetic.

Can someone tell me how this is performed?

I'm 16.5 weeks currently and have my full anatomy scan on Feb 17. I'm thinking they will do it then?

A congenital heart condition runs on my side of the family so we did a fetal echo with my first and are doing it again with my second pregnancy.

It's really just a very comprehensive abdominal ultrasound focusing only on the baby's heart.

They do it thru what seems like a normal abdominal ultrasound. They look at the baby's hear chambers and blood flow
