Clomid

I've been having pretty regular periods (just a couple day variance from month to month) and my hormones are just slightly off. We have been trying for almost a year now.  Husband checked out all good too. Started my first round of Clomid today. Doctor has me starting on day 1? Everything I read is on day 3 or 5. Has anyone else's Doctor have them starting on day 1?
