Anybody go through IUI?

Question

Just called my doctor today bc I started my period. He is having me start clomid 100mg on day 5-9 and then scheduled me an ultrasound appt and to get hcg shot and then to proceed with insemination .. Has anybody gone through this and had any success or any information you can give me would be so helpful please!

I'm having my first IUI today at 330! Been TTC for 17 months.  I've been in Femara for 11 months & ovulating with it but no pregnancy. Last Wed was my first appt with the RE.  They did an US & blood work.  They saw a follicle maturing so I went back Fri & it was 17.5mm. They wanted it to grow a bit more So I waited until Sunday AM at 330 to give myself the Ovidrel shot.  & now today 36 hrs later I'm going for my IUI!  I'm praying so hard that this first IUI works.  Trying to stay calm, relaxed, & positive today! I don't mean to sound nosey or rude but, how much does an IUI cost? I've been wanting to do that for a while now but idk where to really start!
