Braxton hicks?

So I've had some BH contractions the past week, nothing serious, however, today they were pretty bad. Still inconsistent, but somewhat painful.  I'm seeing my doctor tomorrow thankfully but I want to make sure this is common? FTM so I don't want to worry too much

Common and normal. Drinking more water usually helps.

How far along are you? If you are weeks away from delivering I wouldn't worry about it. I'm almost 38 weeks and have lots during the day that are super strong.

I think it is common. Look up prodromal labor. I have been having contractions for the past few nights which seem to pick up, go from uncomfortable to somewhat painful, then they just stop and pick back up later. I didn't feel Braxton hicks at all through my pregnancy and am now 37 and just started feeling these over the past few days.
